Nutritionist's Take
Eidon Ionic Minerals Liquid Selenium is marketed as a supplement to support liver health, thyroid function, and the immune system. Selenium, an essential trace mineral, plays a vital role in antioxidant defense and thyroid hormone metabolism. Its ionic form may enhance bioavailability, making it easier for the body to absorb. However, while selenium can benefit overall health, potential drawbacks include the risk of toxicity if taken in excessive amounts, as chronic high intake can lead to selenosis. Additionally, consumers should be cautious of health claims, ensuring they are backed by research. This product may be suitable for various dietary needs, including vegan diets, given its liquid formulation. Overall, when used as directed and in conjunction with a balanced diet, Eidon Ionic Minerals Liquid Selenium could be a beneficial supplement for individuals needing additional selenium support.
