Rated: Universal, suitable for all Format: Blu-ray Blu-ray Editorial Review
Metropolis Reconstructed & Restored Blu-Ray is a significant cinematic achievement, capturing Fritz Lang's vision with its full-length, 118-minute portrayal of the original 1927 film. The careful reconstruction ensures a seamless blend of inter-titles and original orchestral score, enhancing the viewing experience through its high-quality restoration. Reviews praise the film for its artistic depth, comparing it to impactful works like Mahler's symphonies. Viewers have noted the film's reflection on modernity, making it remarkably relevant even today, while its aesthetic beauty and innovative effects set a high standard for science fiction films that followed.
